On waking, the accumulated muscle soreness immediately got to me and I started questioning everything. What am I doing out here? Is this really what I want? Can I do this? These thoughts didn’t last long once I was back on the bike. I enjoy being on the bike. I can feel myself getting stronger, albeit more sore at the same time, and I do believe moments of doubt will soon be a thing of the past. For now though, I expect such moments to come and go depending on factors such as pain, incline and heat. I picked up some more food supplies in Norseman and left behind some bored young deroes play-fighting in the street as I cycled out of town. Nightly exercises are holding off my tennis-elbow pain and pressure point work is doing well to release tension in my right shoulder.
