– The adventures of a solo round the world cyclist –

Day 24 (Australia – Munda Biddi Day 1)

It was a beautiful day for riding: warm, sunny with a cooling breeze. After a slow start (repacking always seems to take more time than expected) I enjoyed a pleasant ride on back roads out of Albany, passing through picturesque small holdings with lush green pasture being grazed by cows and horses. The ride was relatively easy with just a few short steep climbs. It was such a nice change to be able to belt along on an off-road track and worry about running into snakes rather than being run into by cars. Free camping opportunities around Denmark are slim so I decided to stay at the local hostel and had an entertaining night chatting to a group of Britons about their time in Mongolia, trying to pick up tips for cycling through the country.
