Last night I ended up joining a group of eight and going out to Benny’s in Fremantle. We tried to go to another bar but one of the group had been banned from several establishments so we ended up spending the whole night at Benny’s. I spoke a lot more with the girl I had met yesterday. Enough to start thinking it would be nice if I could stay in Perth longer and get to know her more. I crashed at my old house with everyone else and in the morning we cooked a massive breakfast of bacon and eggs. I hung out with everyone until the early afternoon. On the way home I got some food supplies at the East Perth IGA before preparing a potato bake that I took to my mate Dan’s house up in Darlington. There, we cooked a stockpot on a campfire in the backyard and later roasted marshmallows for dessert. All in all it was an awesome day and my first normal one since coming home (a ‘normal’ day being one in which I do nothing associated with my bike trip). No doubt I’ll be back into my preparations again tomorrow though.
