The kindness of strangers can lift a day from boring to very nice. And the simple things in life can make a big difference. These two things came together this evening when Paula and I turned up to a parking area occupied by two couples with caravans travelling together. They offered us tea, coffee and cake, followed by hot showers, followed by beer and wine. We made our first campfire together and had a very pleasant evening. We are clean and full of good food. The day was less stressful now that our targets have been re-realised. We will take five days to reach Coral Bay instead of four. Paula has done amazing to ride for four (tomorrow it will be five) consecutive days.
