As usual I had a slow start from town. Nevertheless, it felt good to be back on the road. My stomach is behaving itself and the day was enjoyable. Until now, that is. I am having an annoying start to the night. I decided to sleep under a shelter at the entrance to Hamersley Gorge. With a roof over my head, I didn’t bother setting up my tent. As soon as I settled down I was set upon by a swarm of killer mosquitoes. I got up and prepared my tent, but now I am sweating like hell. This might be the hottest night I have had so far. To add to my annoyance, bright solar lights have just switched on in the shelter. I will have to dig out my eye mask if I want to get some sleep tonight.
