My legs are aching badly. I walked an incredibly long way today, all the way from Nightcliff markets back to the city, with an excursion along the way via the Fannie Bay Coolspot and out to East Point. The markets were cool. I had a chat to a guy selling his brother’s art (Ray Reeves) and at another stall I bought three intricate popup gift cards. I was planning on drawing a picture of the city from East Point but there was nowhere to sit comfortably. Instead, I followed the coast back towards the city, did the Mangrove Walk and found my way to the Sailing Club where I tried to find out if anyone was sailing to Asia at this time of year. I entered the city via Cullen Bay and came across a big gathering of people celebrating Japanese Culture Day. I watched karaoke and a kendo demonstration before getting home around 7pm.
