I entered the heat of the day on my bike and cycled from one side of the city to the other. As I went I posted flyers advertising my desire to find a boat ride to Timor-Leste. I went to Fisherman’s Wharf, Dinah Beach Yacht Club, Cullen Bay Marina and Darwin Sailing Club. It was actually a great way to see the city. I would have appreciated it more if I hadn’t done it by foot a couple of days ago. Cullen Bay Marina was new for me though and a very pretty place. I think I have Buckley’s chance of getting a boat ride at this time of year because of the unfavourable weather conditions, but you never know if you never try. Tricia’s parents Peter and Kathy arrived today for a week and we went out to dinner to Char. I ordered a medium-rare T-bone that came with three mustard sauces, chips and broccolini. Of course I got dessert too: passionfruit cheesecake.

It would be easy to find a boat if I was coming the other way!
