There was very little we had to do today. After a sleep in and another humungous breakfast, Jayden, Megs and I headed into town to return our scooters. The lady who served us tried to make a point of scratches on one scooter and called the owner to come and have a look. Fortunately, I’d made a point of taking a bunch of photos so we knew the scratches weren’t new, as did the owner, who gave us no trouble. Next up was a traditional massage at Flores Spa. Having my now-muscly legs massaged felt so incredibly good. We had lunch at La Cucina, where I ordered an octopus pizza. After collecting a bunch of cash for our impending boat trip, we chilled out at Made In Italy where we had coffee and milkshakes. Back at home, Jayden and I relaxed at the pool with a beer and chatted to a Polish guest. I got excited when the Polish guy said Steve Backshall (my idol) was on the same plane as him as he came into Labuan Bajo. This means Steve is on the island somewhere, no doubt having an awesome adventure as part of a TV series. Maybe I will bump into him on Komodo tomorrow! In the evening, we went to Paradise to meet up with our boat captain and pay for our trip, then visited the night market for dinner. I stupidly left my beloved drink bottle behind so I now face the challenge of trying to get it back.
