I just had a very successful day. It started with me only snoozing my alarm once before getting up for breakfast and a final bike pack. I arrived at the port about 7.45am to find out the ferry to Sumbawa was leaving at 9am. This gave me time to film the final few shots I wanted for my Flores video before getting on board. I locked my bike in the hold of the ferry and, encouraged by a couple of guys who articulated through sign language that I need to be worried about people stealing my stuff, I took all my bike bags with me upstairs. I passed the six-hour journey napping, reading, people-watching and snacking. I met Adrian and Francesca (travellers from Chile) when I chose a seat near them in an effort to have someone watch my belongings while I made the several trips it took to get my gear upstairs. On arrival in Sape I got some phone credit, checked into a losmen, then ventured down the road for a delicious dinner.
