There is something very nice about having a singular goal on which to work. I’m referring to my bike trip. One focus with no distractions. No need to spread my time across a variety of life’s demands. This thought struck me during family dinner tonight (Paul and Dan were over but Sarah is away for work) and people were talking about their week and all the different things they got up to and had to do. Earlier in the evening I caught up with my good friend Yara at Five Bar in Mt Lawley. She is flying to New Zealand tomorrow so it might have been our only chance to hang out, depending on how long I stick around in Perth. During the day I went to the dentist for a check-up. Everything was fine. I have inherited good teeth from my dad and I am yet to ever have a cavity or anything else that demands concern.
