After collecting my swag from my brother’s house, I drove to the hills where I caught up with my best mate Dan. We picked up his son Adam from school then drove out to Jarrahdale, where we joined Dan’s neighbour John and his son John-Daniel. We got stuck into setting up out camp. I threw my swag out and filled it with a doona and blanket. We went for a bit of a bush walk before preparing a delicious dinner of spaghetti, salad and garlic bread. Later, we were joined by John’s friend from work (Gary) and his son (Zeth). The full moon rose and illuminated the bush. It has been a long time since I have slept in my swag, but it was as comfortable as ever. So nice to be tucked into the cocoon on a cold, windy night in the bush.
