I get a shock every time I walk into the bathroom. It all started when I woke up and washed my hair. I took extra care to do a thorough job, lest I offend anyone later in the day. Hair clean, I turned my attention to my ears. I always make sure my ears are clean before I go to a hairdressers. Is this weird? I haven’t had a haircut in well over a year so I asked my parents about where I should go. Dad recommended Buzz, on the bottom level of Trinity arcade. It was a good choice. Annette spent a long time on my hair. I reckon I was there for about an hour and a half. There was a fair bit of hair to get rid of and Annette was determined to take special care. She had my complete trust, even in those moments at the end when she asked if I thought it looked ok, and I said it looked really great even though on the inside I was thinking, ‘I’m sure it’s going to look good once it’s settled in a bit’. I walked away with a $15 discount, went home, had a shower, and emerged to discover I actually thought my hair looked okay. I didn’t give it another thought until the next time I walked into the bathroom and had that shocking moment when you are reminded that you had all your hair cut off.
