Day 437 (Malaysia Day 4)

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. I’m not very well. I hardly slept in the night as I battled waves of fever: hot and sweaty then cold and shivery. My head starting hurting and the pain in my legs grew. I first thought it was food poisoning but as my mind ticked over slowly I grew to realise I have subjected myself to heat stress. Yesterday was too far and too hot with too much fluid loss. I also got burned by the sun. I may as well mention the blisters on both my big toes and the painful sweat rash that has developed in my groin. I feel like shit. This was not the way things were meant to go.

Yep. One of my biggest lessons is about being patient and giving myself permission to rest and have easy days. Live and learn as they say!
