The ocean is such a soothing thing. I entered the warm water and just sat for a while, every so often twisting my position to gain a different view until I had taken in all of my surroundings. Construction of hillside villas at the north end of the beach created the occasional noise, otherwise it was quiet and peaceful. Cutting the surface of the water were two kite surfers navigating their way around the sandbars that created little lagoons along the shoreline. This place is a surfing hotspot in the monsoon season (end of the year) but now the water is calm and shallow. I had a brief chat with one of the kite-surfers who lives locally and met his dog who gets around with the help of two wheels in place of his back legs, leaving two tyre tracks everywhere he trots.
