Aarrgghh no more hills please. Today became an almighty battle as I climbed an almighty hill. The road itself wasn’t necessarily steep, it just wound so much. At one point I could have lazily kicked a stone off the edge of the road and watch it land back on the road about four tiers down. I spent half the day with bad stomach ache due to gas build up, so I fear my Giardia is making a comeback. At least I can recognise the signs now and know what medication is effective. Despite the toll on the body, the day’s ride was nice. I had a problem with my rear brakes that I had to stop and fix. In the process I picked up two annoying spectators who insisted on touching all of my gear. Right now I’m in a place called Khaniyakharka, having arrived here just as it was getting dark. Kathmandu is now three (maybe two) days away now.
