I crashed at Madan’s house, waking up with a slight hangover that I had to push aside as I negotiated my way back to school via public transport. I arrived in time to smash down some breakfast and race up to my room to gather my teaching materials. The morning rush ended and I could enter the staff room pretending all was calm and normal and I was 100% excited and prepared for the day. I hardly felt normal but I was prepared and feeling ready for the day. Teaching went well, although I think I need to slow down a little in my classes – they are just kids after all. But then again, some students complete all the work I set easily. Others are much slower. I’m not sure of the best way to manage this yet. After my final class, I helped prepare a school profile page for the lower school coordinator. Then I started planning tomorrow’s lessons. This took me to dinner and beyond. It’s 9pm and I am only now just stopping and readying myself for bed and a new day as a teacher.
