I had a very quiet day today making good progress on my diary work. I finished entering all of the diary entries from my notepads and scraps of paper into my computer. On completion, I was able to confirm that I had some missing entries. I either failed to write a diary entry on the day, or, more likely, I scribbled it on a small scrap of paper that I subsequently lost. I had seven such instances, which is probably not bad going. Fortunately, the fact that I have so many other entries recorded means I can think back on the missing days and remember exactly what happened. This is the most valuable thing about keeping a diary so religiously: I can recall an incredible amount of details just by reading my diary. It takes me straight back to the day. When I’d completed the diary writing, I got onto photo editing. In the evening I joined my parents for a really long walk along the river. A big storm passed through in the middle of the day so everything was wet and there was an inviting smell of nature in the air that often comes after summer rain.
