Life returned to a greater sense of normality today as I woke up and got straight onto my computer for more diary and photo work. I got excited as 4 o’clock approached as this was when I picked my sister up from her house. Sarah had flown into Perth from Hong Kong at 2.30am this morning, having been overseas for the last six weeks making her way across Russia, Mongolia and China. It’s been a year since I have seen her. We had a great time catching up and swapping stories, as well as our plans for the future. Sarah is home for one month before flying to Europe, where she will spend ten weeks exploring, seeing Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Croatia, England and Ireland. Paul came around in the evening for a family catch up and we all had a nice time checking out Sarah’s photos. On another note, I’m actually getting excited about my Instagram follower count. One year ago I was happy that 18 people seemed interested in following my journey. Now there is every chance that tomorrow I cross the 2,000 mark!
