I met a new cousin today. Second-cousin technically. At five months old, he is a responsive little guy and a happy smiler. I had the job of keeping him entertained while his mum cut and coloured my mum’s hair. I almost didn’t go as I was going to prioritise my ‘work’, but it was a nice decision to get out of the house and spend time with the extended family. Back at home, I got onto more diary work. I’m still getting over my sickness but feeling better than I have in a while. I think part of it is to do with the fact that I had soy milk instead of dairy milk. My stomach has been more settled today than at any other time in the last two months since I got sick in India. If my stomach continues to behave itself then I might start believing it’s because I’ve stopped drinking dairy milk. Stargazing Live has just aired on TV, providing a fascinating glimpse into what can be seen in Australia’s night sky. I miss my days riding through remote Australia where the Milky Way is clearly visible every night. City living is not very conducive to admiring our universe.
