In the morning Akram and I farewelled Sharnaz as she embarked on a bus ride to Lahore where she will be babysitting her grandkids while her daughter visits America to visit her own daughter who is studying there. We then shopped at a massive cash and carry store to stock up in food for the Foundation, which was our next stop. I spent much of the afternoon editing my Karijini video. I think it’s coming along okay, but I still have a lot more work to do. I was surprised by another interview with a journalist. So blasé I have become that I actually don’t know what paper he works for and where an article might be published. Akram will let me know. Progress in my journey was made in the form of a concrete plan to catch a bus on Wednesday night. The imminent departure has made me realise how great a time I have had here in Islamabad and how sad I will feel to move on.
