– The adventures of a solo round the world cyclist –

Day 827 (Tajikistan Day 16)

The wind is blowing beautifully hard again as I write my diary on my third and last night at Pamir Lodge. I have just got back home from a lovely dinner out with three other cyclists: a retired German couple and a Swiss girl. We went to an Indian restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. I never got to rest much during the day as I finished my to-do list. This included a trip into town where I successfully sorted out a SIM card and stocked up on a bunch of food for coming days. I spoke to mum and dad for the first time in months, although the call got cut short when the WIFI was switched off. They have been having a nice time visiting Chris and Erin (and the twins, whose birthday was last week) on Christmas Island. Once again stories of this paradise have invigorated ideas to get myself out there too before my brother leaves. I don’t particularly feel like getting back on the bike tomorrow, but I don’t think I’ll particularly feel like it the day after either.
