– The adventures of a solo round the world cyclist –

The End

And that, my friends, is how you ride a bicycle for 29,600km through 28 countries and keep a daily diary along the way. Arriving home marks the end of this adventure. Thank you for being along for the ride. I hope you enjoyed reading about it. Hopefully one day in the future I’ll have another grand adventure to write about. In fact, I’ll make sure of it!

At the end of my first day on the bike in Australia – 32km completed

A world away on my second last day on the bike – 29,484km completed
(the last selfie I took)

(NB: I’m still going to be posting photos on instagram and publishing more videos)

I have really enjoyed your diary posts and have read them from start to finish. I look forward to further material from your marvellous journey. Throughout the trip, you have displayed impressive personal qualities, talents and nouse. I expect these attributes will bring you success in your future endeavours…but take care on the women front and watch the junk food!

Thanks Phillip. Both for the kind words and final advice. I guess I did eat a lot of junk…definitely not something I maintain when I’m not riding big distances every day! Your advice about women is probably just as well-earned, considering some of the final events in my diary. But then, nothing ventured nothing gained! Future material may include a book, in which case I’ll keep you posted 🙂

Points well taken! That you made it through the physical and mental trials so well suggests you made the right choices for yourself. I look forward to more in the future.
